News From Val Sandell- Sarasota

One of her plein-air pieces painted at the High Springs Paint Out will be included in the American Women Artists National Competition. "Hay Bales," painted on the road to Camp Kulaqua, will be going to LeKAE Gallery in Scottsdale. East meets west.
And to further support the fact that the Gainesville area is one of the most beautiful in the state, her landscape titled "Rocky Shoal" was accepted in the Oil Painters of America Eastern Regional, to be held in Naples, FL. The painting depicts the Santa Fe River at the base of the suspension bridge in O'Leno State Park.

You can see Val's paintings from these exhibits at her updated we site HERE

Congratulations to Val!!

Plein Air Painters at Studio Waltz

Several painters from the Tampa Bay group have been invited to paint en plein air during Studio Waltz (its 15th year!) on Saturday, October 6. We'll be painting from 10:00 to 5:00 at the first stop of the tour, Coachman Park at the Clearwater Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave. in Clearwater FL. Maps of the open studio locations will be available at the library that day. See you there!

Tuesday paintouts from the Plein Air Painters of the Treasure Coast

Hi Everybody!
This tuesday, September 25 and next October 2, we will paint at White City Park which is south of Ft. Pierce. From US1 you take CR712 or Midway Road. Go West on Midway Road till you get to the park on your left. Its a lovely little park, with a windy road that goes to the North Fork of the St. Lucie River. I try to get there around 9:30 and stay till noon or later. I drive a red Jeep Cherokee so you can look for that and find me.
Check out my new blog for the Treasure Coast Art Association, I will post things going on there and I am planning on putting these paintout invitations on there too, so if you don't get an email look there. http://treasurecoastartassociation.blogspot.com/
